Vision

The vision of the Muscle Wrapping 2.0 software project is to create a powerful tool that can effectively model and analyze the biomechanics of muscles and bones. This software aims to develop OpenSim compatible models and methods that can accurately represent the triangular surface models of muscles and wrap them around moving bones. The output muscles will then be decomposed into mechanical lines of action, which can be further used for biomechanical analyses.

The software will provide researchers with a comprehensive toolset for biomechanical analysis of muscle and bone movements, enabling them to investigate and evaluate the dynamics and functionality of human musculoskeletal systems. It is expected that the usecase of Muscle Wrapping 2.0 will facilitate the development of more efficient and accurate treatment plans for patients suffering from musculoskeletal injuries or diseases.

Overall, the Muscle Wrapping 2.0 software project represents an innovative way to analyze and understand the complex interactions between muscles and bones in the human body.
