About project¶
The project deals with two methods for muscle deformation. The first is based on Position-Based Dynamics (PBD), which has been developed as part of M. Červenka's master thesis and further extended during his PhD studies, works well with respect to volume preservation during deformation, but lacks in shape preservation. In contrast, the As-Rigid-As-Possible (ARAP) deformation method is strong in preserving shape, but fails to cope with the volume preservation requirement. Therefore, the main objective will be to combine PBD and ARAP and verify the behavior on the available data datasets, all of which will be integrated into the existing Muscle Wrapping 2.0 environment.
